HIGHLANDER LEWIS Williamson, heads to Brands Hatch this weekend knowing he has every chance of leaving the Kent circuit having been crowned British champion.
Williamson, the 20-year-old from Golspie, starts the final two rounds of the British Formula renault Championship just nine points behind leader Tom Blomqvist after his double win at Silverstone last time out.
"That double gave me a huge boost in confidence," Williamson, who aims to follow former FRenault drivers Kimi Raikkonen, Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen into Formula One, said today.
"I'm hoping I can carry that form into this weekend's double header. The Indy circuit at Brands is short and fast, so it's going to be pretty frenetic. I like Brands and generally do well there, so hopefully I can do the business."
