Paul di Resta bags DTM podiumposted in DTM25 | 06 | 2016

BATHGATE’S PAUL DI RESTA boosted his German Touring Car Championship (DTM) hopes when he finished on the podium in the today’s round at the Norisring.

The Scot, already a race winner this year, finished top Mercedes driver, behind the two leading Audis of Italian Edoardo Mortara and England’s Jamie Green. Just 0.903-seconds covered the top three.

“That was a good, solid performance,” Di Resta said, “and sets us up nicely for the second race on Sunday. “It would be great to get another podium, but obviously I’m gunning for the win.

Former DTM champ and F1 racer Di Resta heads into tomorrow’s second race fourth in the championship, just 11 points adrift of new leader Mortara.
