Lexus CT 200h pricing 29 | 10 | 2010

WHEN IT ENTERS Scottish showrooms at the start of next year, Lexus’s new CT 200h, a hybrid rival to the BMW 1-Series, will be priced between £23,485 and £30,635. The car, which is capable of 68.9mpg and 94g/km CO2 emissions, is available to order from today.

There will be three equipment grades; SE-I, SE-L and SE-L Premier. The entry level spec includes climate control, Bluetooth, 17-inch alloys, push button start and LED daytime running lights.

For £25,200, the SE-L adds heated leather seats and parking sensors to the package, while the top spec SE-L Premier, costing £30,635, includes cruise control, HDD sat nav, rear parking monitor and LED headlights.

The Prius power-train, which has been tweaked to promote smoothness and provide more power in sport mode, delivers a 0-60mph time of 10.3secs, slower than its main rival, BMW's 118d. The Beemer also has a top speed of 130mph, 18mph more than the Lexus.
