Chevy unveils Aveo 09 | 09 | 2010

CHEVROLET HAS released photographs of its new five-door Aveo which it believes will appeal to young customers as well as the family market. The car will make its world debut at the Paris Motor Show on September 30.

For the first time, Aveo will be offered with two versions of a 1.3-litre diesel engine (at 75bhp and at 95bhp) featuring Start/Stop technology, and the petrol engine range includes a 1.2 litre version (86bhp) and a 1.4 litre unit (100bhp).

Chevrolet's first six-speed automatic transmission on a small car will feature on the Aveo 1.4 as an option in most markets; manual transmissions are of five or six-speed depending on engine choice. The new Aveo will go on sale in the UK in the autumn next year.
