Hyundai's Curb concept 07 | 01 | 2011

THIS IS YOUR first glimpse of Hyundai's Curb concept; the Nissan Qazana-style baby SUV will be unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show next week. The release will coincide with the company's innovative new Veloster coupe.

Boasting a front windscreen which is steeply raked, similar to that on the Range Rover Evoque, the Curb is a further evolution of Hyundai's now familiar ‘fluidic sculpture’ exterior with the C-pillars sloping away to give a coupe-like profile from the side.

There's no denying the Curb also has similarities to the Nissan Qazana concept which appeared in 2009 and evolved to become the Juke. In size though, the Curb looks to be a class larger.

A careful look at the concept shows the car's small rear doors appear to be rear-hinged. This would offer improved access for rear passengers. Inside the cabin, occupants will enjoy a sharply styled futuristic interior with bucket seats in the front and a touch-screen infotainment system in the centre console.
