Peugeot 508 starts at £18,150 07 | 01 | 2011

    PEUGEOT'S NEW 508, which goes on sale in Scotland in April, will have an entry price of £18,150. The new line-up will be available with seven engines – two petrol and five diesels – and comes with five trim levels: Access, SR, Active, Allure and GT.

    Producing 120bhp and achieving 45.6mpg, the entry-level 1.6-litre petrol Access will cost from £18,150, while the more powerful 1.6-litre SR version — developing 156bhp and 180lb ft of torque, 63lb ft more than the lower-powered petrol version — will start from £20,850. The entry-level 1.6 e-HDi diesel Access meanwhile, which produces 112bhp, 180lb/ft of torque and 60mpg, start at £19,050.

    The range-topping GT HDI will set you back upwards of £28,750, but you do get 204bhp and 338lb ft of torque with a fuel economy figure of just under 50mpg. The diesel line-up also features the company’s start-stop system on e-HDi versions.
