Scots get hottest Audi A1 24 | 01 | 2011

AUDI HAS launched the hottest model in its A1 range, the 182bhp, twincharged 1.4TFSI S-Line; and it's already available in Scottish dealerships.

With power set to the front wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch S-tronic transmission, the latest pocket-rocket will catapult from standstill to 60mph in 6.9secs and on to a max of 141mph. It's also — according to Audi — good for 47.9mpg and emits just 139g/km CO2.

The car comes with all the usual add-ons you'd expect in an Audi S-Line; part leather-upholstered seats, 17in alloys, Bluetooth and iPod, as well as an electronic differential that works with a revised ESP programme all come as standard. Prices start at £20,705.
