Vauxhall scores with Scotland 18 | 01 | 2011

VAUXHALL, SCOTLAND'S most successful manufacturer in terms of new car registrations, has confirmed it will sponsor the Scottish national football team. The deal, announced by the Scottish FA at Hampden Park, will run for three-and-a-half years until 2014. In addition to the senior A squad, the agreement includes all Scottish age group and women's national squads.

“I look forward to a prosperous partnership that will inspire Craig Levein’s side for the second half of our UEFA Euro 2012 qualification campaign and beyond," Stewart Regan, Scottish FA Chief Executive, said: "I am certain the history and heritage of the Vauxhall brand will dovetail perfectly with the national teams’ future hopes and aspirations.
"Vauxhall’s marketing expertise will also ensure our supporters and media partners can look forward to many exciting initiatives involving the national teams.” The sponsorship deal was also welcomed by Scots boss Craig Levein.

“I am delighted to welcome Vauxhall as our new National Team Sponsor," he admitted. "On behalf of the squad and the rest of my backroom staff, I look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship with such an iconic brand.”

The announcement completes a clean sweep of home nation sponsorships for Vauxhall. Last week Vauxhall announced they had also signed agreements to be Lead Partners with the English FA, the Football Association of Wales and the Northern Ireland Football Association.
