Vauxhall tops sales in Scotland 17 | 01 | 2011

FOR THE FIFTH successive year, Vauxhall has topped the new car registrations table in Scotland, with total sales last year of 26,901; that's almost 7000 units more than its closest rival. The Vauxhall Corsa was also Scotland’s most popular car, for the fourth successive year, with a total of 10,660 sold throughout 2010.

“Last year was yet another landmark year for us in Scotland,” admitted Duncan Aldred, Vauxhall’s managing director, who also saw the Astra notch the second-best sales position in Scotland with 8348 models sold.

“We really appreciate the high level of customer loyalty north of the border, backed up by a first-class dealer network. Vauxhall is going from strength to strength at the moment and we’re looking forward to revealing a raft of new, exciting models during 2011, including the new-look Corsa, coming next month.”
