    SCOTLAND’S FASTEST-GROWING dealership group, Peter Vardy, has opened a new dedicated Mini showroom in Edinburgh, complete with its own cafe and accessories shop. (Related: Electric Mini to be built in the UK)

    Based on the group’s former Citroen dealership site on Edinburgh’s Seafield Road, the new Mini showroom occupies an area of 505sq/m, with a 505 sq./m workshop and parts unit. There’s also a mezzanine office accommodation of 200m2.

    “There’s an enormous public following for the Mini brand in Edinburgh,” Guy Watson, the dealership’s managing partner, said, “and our new showroom is going down exceptionally well with everyone who visits.

    The opening of the new Mini dealership was also welcomed by Peter Vardy, group chief executive.

    “Mini is an iconic brand and with a range of models to suit most tastes,” he said, “and we are confident our new showroom will become a firm favourite with Edinburgh’s motor buying public.”

    In addition to the cafe and accessories shop, the new dealership has the full range of Minis, including the Hatch, Countryman and Clubman, models. There’s also a John Cooper Works area.

    Peter Vardy Group operates six Vauxhall dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay.

    In addition, it operates five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, BMW and MINI vehicles. It also has two of Scotland’s largest indoor used car showrooms — CarStore at Glasgow and Dundee.
