New special edition Jeep Wrangler 17 | 07 | 2017

JEEP HAS LAUNCHED another limited edition off-roader. The range-topping Wrangler Rubicon Recon is available from Scottish dealerships now, priced from £40,505.

Boasting additional off-road ability, thanks to a string of new components, the Rubicon Recon not only gets a stronger front axle, but the differentials are protected by more substantial cast metal covers.

New 18in aluminium wheels painted with a low-gloss finish help set it apart from the standard, utilitarian Wrangler 4x4. Its individuality is further highlighted with the dual-top roof finished in black on both hardtop and soft-top models.

The front of the new Jeep gets a muscular looking dual-vented bonnet with black and red ‘Rubicon’ decals, while at the rear there’s a black fuel filler cap and spare tyre cover. The eagle-eyed amongst you will also have spotted its trademark ‘Trail Rated’ badges are painted a contrasting red.

That ed and black theme continues in the cabin, where red contrast stitching is seen on the black leather upholstery. The heated seats also get embroidered ‘Rubicon’ logos, while red is the dominant colour on the door panels and seatbelt.
