New E350 for E-Class Coupe and Cabrio 05 | 12 | 2018

    MERCEDES HAS ADDED the new E350 to both its Coupe and Cabriolet line-up. The models are available to order now at Scottish dealerships priced from £44,750 and £49,246 respectively. (Related: New Mercedes B-Class starts at £26,975)

    Combining an electrified 2.0-litre petrol engine, fitted with Mercedes’ EQ Boost tech, the E350 benefits from a 48-volt belt-driven starter/alternator. This adds 14bhp to the car’s total power output, resulting in a total of 295bhp and 400Nm of torque. (Related: Mercedes expands A-Class range)

    Both models are electronically limited to 155mph, but the Coupe covers the 0-62mph sprint in 5.9 seconds, with the Cabrio taking a further 0.2s. Both return around 40mpg at the pumps.

    Standard kit across both models includes 19in alloys, 12.3-inch widescreen cockpit display, two centre console and two rear USB ports, touchpad with controller, leather upholstery, keyless-go, electrically adjustable front seats, and ambient lighting in a choice of 64 colours.

    There are a number of option packages available. The Premium package is available for £2395 and includes COMAND Online, wireless charging, Parking package including 360o camera, memory package, and Multibeam LED Intelligent Light System.

    The £3450 (£4395 for the CoupĂ©) Premium Plus package adds to this Burmester surround sound system, Keyless-Go package (including hands-free access, keyless entry and start, plus automatic powered boot closing) and a panoramic sunroof (CoupĂ© only).

    The Night package can be added for £645 and includes 20in multi-spoke alloys; diamond radiator grille and a single louvre in high-gloss back, front apron in high-gloss black, and rear bumper in high-gloss black with chrome trim.

    The Comfort package – only available in conjunction with the Premium package – costs £3295 and includes Air Balance, Energizing comfort control, Air Body Control, and Nappa leather upholstery.

    Driver assistance systems include a Lane Tracking package (£595) that includes Active Lane Keeping Assist, and the more comprehensive Driving Assistance package (£1695) which adds Active Brake Assist, Active Distance Assist DISTRONIC and Active Speed Limit Assist, Evasive Steering Assist, plus Pre-Safe Plus.
