Fiat 500X gets S-Design style boost 31 | 01 | 2019

    FIAT HAS GIVEN its 500X a moody new look with the introduction of a new S-Design trim. Priced from £20,495, the new model — which sits in the middle of the 500X range and adds black trim, exclusive badging and a fresh interior to the 500X City Cross — is available to order now from Scottish dealerships priced from £20,495.     Externally, the 500X benefits from a fresh front bumper and black door mirror cap, black door handles, a black tailgate insert, a set of black roof bars, a bronze-coloured X-logo, plus 17-inch alloys finished in Myron black.

    The interior also get the S-Design treatment, including unique upholstery with faux-leather inserts, a leather steering wheel, plus seven-inch infotainment system with sat-nav, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also automatic dual-zone climate control, and a textured matte black dashboard fascia with a copper-coloured '500' badge. (Related: Fiat launches 500 Mirror editions)

    Cruise control, LED headlights with daytime running lights, lane keeping assist, an electronic parking brake, and intelligent speed assist with traffic sign recognition are all fitted as standard.

    Buyers of the 500X S-Design have the choice of two petrol engines. Fiat’s 1.0-litre 'FireFly' three-cylinder, delivering 136bhp and 190Nm of torque, starts at £20,495. There’s also a more powerful 148bhp, 1.3 four-cylinder petrol delivering 270Nm of torque. Prices start at £22,695. Both powerplants are available with either a manual or automatic gearbox.
