Tesla updates Model 3 21 | 10 | 2020

    TESLA HAS UPDATED its Model 3, and reduced the entry price from £42,500 to £40,490. The latest version is also slightly quicker then its predecessor, knocking 0.1-seconds off the 0-60mph time. The flagship Model 3 Performance now covers the sprint in 3.1secs. (Related: First official look at VW ID.4 design)

    Externally, the latest Model 3 also gets new satin black side repeaters, door handles and exterior trim. In addition the car now also benefits from more efficient tyres and a choice of new alloy wheel designs — buyers can choose either 18, 19 or 20-inch diameters — and a new power-operated tailgate.

    Inside the cabin there are now metal scroll wheels on the steering wheel, a new inductive charging pad with space for two smartphones, plus some updated matte black dashboard trim. (Related: VW reveals 341-mile range ID.3)

    There’s also graphite-finished seat adjustment controls and satin black treadplates. And the Model 3’s sunvisors now also feature a magnetic clasp to keep them secure when not in use.

    The WLTP range for the all-electric Model 3 has also been updated, with the Standard Range Plus and Long Range variants now capable of an additional 13 miles between recharging stops, giving them 267 and 360 respectively. The Performance benefits from an extra 23 miles, giving it a range of 352 miles.
