New BMWi opens in Scotland 08 | 08 | 2016

A NEW BMWi centre has been launched in Scotland. Coinciding with the opening today of its new Jaguar Land Rover dealership in Aberdeen, Peter Vardy has also launched the new BMWi centre in Edinburgh.

Scotland’s fastest-growing car dealership group, the new centre will sell the all-electric BMWi3 model and its sporty big brother, the plug-in hybrid BMWi8.

The all-electric BMW i3 is the world’s first mass production model to be designed for sustainability. As an all-electric car, it generates zero emissions and no odours while in use, making it the perfect companion around town.

But the BMW i3 is not just a green car. With its agility and acceleration it takes just 7.3 seconds to sprint from 0-62 mph.

The BMW i8, on the other hand, is the first sports car with the consumption and emission values of a compact car.

The new BMWi brand offering will have its own display stand at the existing BMW dealership operated by the Peter Vardy Group in Edinburgh’s Seafield Road; in addition, it will offer also a charge point station for electric car users.

“I’m delighted to welcome the BMWi range to the Peter Vardy Group,” Peter Vardy, chief executive said.

“We’re very excited by the prospect of bringing our first electric cars on board and we expect to see substantial customer interest in these leading-edge, beautifully-designed BMWi models.”

Peter Vardy Group operates six Vauxhall volume dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay.

In addition, it operates five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche or BMW-Mini vehicles as well as Scotland’s biggest indoor used car showroom, CarStore, at Hillington, Glasgow. Another CarStore supermarket is set to open in Dundee.
