Peter Vardy opens new JLR dealership  08 | 08 | 2016

SCOTLAND’S FASTEST-GROWING car dealership group, Peter Vardy, has opened its new custom-built £8 million Jaguar Land Rover showroom in Aberdeen.

One of the first new-look JLR sites — boasting the brand new look and feel that places great emphasis on customer service and luxury — to be opened in the UK, the site is based in the city’s Wellington Road.

The dealership covers two floors, ground and mezzanine, linked by escalators, with over 100 New and Approved Used vehicles on site and 26 ramps for servicing vehicles.

Customers can enjoy two business lounges with in-house barista and chef, creating a relaxing and welcoming environment for all visitors. There is also a Kids’ Play area.

Three customer handover bays are designed to make the experience of buying a Jaguar Land Rover product almost as exciting as owning one.

The new facility has been built by Stirling-based Ogilvie Construction, which last year completed the nearby Porsche Centre Aberdeen.

“We are finally open for business at the new JLR dealership in Aberdeen,” Peter Vardy, chief executive, said,  “and I am absolutely delighted by the build and look of our newest retailer.

“I believe it will be a great asset for potential customers in Aberdeen and the North-east of Scotland generally, not least since despite current pressures it represents an enormous vote of confidence in the long-term prosperity of the city and the region.”

Peter Vardy Group operates six Vauxhall volume dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay.

In addition, it operates five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche or BMW-Mini vehicles as well as Scotland’s biggest indoor used car showroom, CarStore, at Hillington, Glasgow. Another CarStore supermarket is set to open in Dundee.
