Mazda6 gets tech upgrades 06 | 09 | 2016

MAZDA HAS INTRODUCED a number of updates for its Mazda6 family saloon and tourer, which will arrive in Scottish dealerships this autumn with prices ranging from £19,795 to £28,895.

One of the key additions is Mazda’s innovative new G-Vectoring Control tech which controls engine torque to make tiny adjustments while steering. The result is a more comfortable drive and more grip.

The engine line-up remains the same, with two versions of the 2.0-litre petrol and two 2.2-litre diesels. The oil burner now also benefits from Natural Sound Smoother Technology (NSS) which, not surprisingly, focuses on making the engine quieter. Oh, and the Japanese manufacturer says the diesel is also now more responsive.

Across the Mazda6 range, there’s new sound-deadening material and upgraded door seals which help lessen wind noise at speed.

Inside the cabin there’s a new leather steering wheel. Step up to the Sport Nav and you get electric memory seats, a heated steering wheel, plus a new head up display with traffic sign recognition. The range-topping SE-L Nav adds power-folding mirrors and auto city braking technology.
