Citroen teases new C5 Aircross 14 | 04 | 2017

    CITROEN’S ALL-NEW C3 Aircross and C5 Aircross, which will form the core of the French car maker’s worldwide SUV offensive, will make their debut at this year's Shanghai Motor Show.

    Set to be unveiled officially on April 19, China is a key make for Citroen with sales of more than 250,000 in 2016; the figure accounts for around one in five Citroen sales worldwide.

    Due to be launched in China in the second half of 2017, the C5 Aircross SUV will subsequently see production and its commercial launch in Europe at the end of 2018.

    Citroen will also use the Shanghai show to showcase the C-Aircross Concept (below) which previews the company’s future compact SUV. The new model — which will be badged C3 Aircross — will be launched in Europe before the end of 2017.

    According to Citroen, the C5 Aircross is a “people-minded SUV combining assertive design with an interior dedicated to well-being for all passengers”.

    The new model is believed to have an very spacious cabin and will utilise the latest “technology to give owners an easier and safer drive, and takes a modern and all-encompassing approach to comfort”.
