Peter Vardy named UK Retailer of Year 15 | 02 | 2017
SCOTLAND’S MOST INNOVATIVE car dealership group, Peter Vardy, was the biggest winner — including taking the prestigious UK Retailer of the Year prize — at the 2017 Automotive Management Awards. The Glasgow-based group scooped three top awards and three Highly Commended accolades.
Peter Vardy went head-to-head with dealers and automotive groups throughout the UK in front of a crowd of 1100 people at the International Convention Centre in Birmingham and walked away with the top award of the night.
In a fantastic night for the Peter Vardy team, the judges named the group as:
*UK Retailer of the Year
*Best Dealership for BMW MINI
*Best Sales Team for BMW MINI
The judges also highly commended the group for:
*After Sales Excellence for BMW MINI
*Best Retail Group (more than 10 sites)
*Best Used Car Performance
It was the best ever performance for the Scottish company, although it has been a regular winner at the awards, which are dedicated to acknowledging exemplary performance and innovation and turning the spotlight on to high achievers.
"What a night,” Peter Vardy, group chief executive, said. “This is another fantastic tribute to our team. To win so much when we were in competition with all other UK dealers is very unusual.
"I'm really proud to see all the partners in the business hard work recognised. We have a brilliant team and none of this would have been possible without the effort of each one.”
The AM Online awards are the automotive management sector's most prized and keenly-contested competition.
Peter Vardy Group operates six Vauxhall volume dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay (Fife). In addition, it operates five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche or BMW-Mini vehicles as well as Scotland’s biggest indoor used car showroom, CarStore, at Hillington, Glasgow.
