Facelifted Skoda Citigo from £8635 03 | 07 | 2017

SKODA’S UPDATED CITIGO now starts at £8635 for the entry-level S three-door. The range — which now features an umbrella stored under the passenger seat — is available to order now at Scottish dealerships. (Related: New Skoda Karoq SUV)

Unveiled first at the Geneva Motor Show in March, the facelifted Skoda city car — still utilising the same two 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engines, one with 59bhp and the other with 74bhp — now boasts a small front-end design rethink, with its slightly revised radiator grille, plus minor changes in the cabin.

Upfront, the headlights feature daytime LED running lights, while there are rectangular fog lamps embedded within the redesigned front bumper. The option list features fog lamps with corner tracking.

At the rear, for the first time on the Citigo, you can opt for tinted taillights; there’s also the choice of contrasting black or white wing mirrors and roof panels, 15in alloys, and a new shade of green paint.

As previously, buyers can choose from four trim levels: S, SE, SE L and Monte Carlo.

While the entry-level S gets Isofix fittings in the rear, Blues radio system and USB ports, the SE — which starts at £9,635 — add 14in alloys, LED daytime running lights, air-con, colour display and a six-speaker sound system.

The mid-range SE L, from £10,280, gets rear parking sensors, electrically adjustable and heated door mirrors, leather multifunction steering wheel, heated front seats and 15in alloys.

The range-topping £11,170 Monte Carlo models get sports seats, a red centre console, 15mm lower suspension, and black 15in alloys.

Inside the cabin, there’s a slightly re-arranged dashboard and dial setup, while the high trim cars gain a two-tone dashboard, and the instruments receive a redesign with two different looks available. There’s also an optional multifunction steering wheel.
