Renault has just about thrown everything but the kitchen sink at the Iconic Twingo, in terms of extra equipment which now comes as standard.
In addition to a retracting fabric roof, the special edition also gets a significant amount of extra tech. The total extra goodies amounts to around £2825.
There’s a DAB radio, fog lights, cruise control and Bluetooth connectivity. In addition, Renault has also included its own R-Link navigation system as standard. Plus there’s lectric front windows, heated mirrors, automated headlights and wipers, climate control, plus part-leather upholstery.
Despite all that, there are a number of optional extras still on the tick list. These include a full exterior body kit and upgraded interior for an extra £350.
The Iconic is powered by the turbocharged TCe 90 petrol engine already used elsewhere in the Twingo range. It’s mated to a manual gearbox as standard, though an 'efficient dual clutch' automatic transmission is available as an option. It emits 99g/km CO2 and, according to Renault, will return 65.7mpg at the pumps.
