Hyundai teases 2018 Santa Fe 30 | 01 | 2018

HYUNDAI HAS RELEASED two teaser images of its all-new Santa Fe, which will make its world debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March. The fourth-generation of the seven-seater goes on-sale at Scottish dealerships later in the year.

First glimpses of the new Santa Fe suggest it’s going to come with a much more angular styling package than its predecessor. It’s clear the designers are carrying on the approach take with the new Kona crossover.

There’s a chunky front bumper and LED foglamps, which give a more striking front end than the current model, while the headlights look slimmer and integrate neatly with the grille. It’s unlikely the oversized alloys will make their way to the production model, but the sporty look is enhanced by the introduction of chrome skidplate and detailing on the sills.

Hyundai has yet to announce what engines will appear in the 2018 Santa Fe, but it’s likely to have a cleaner, more efficient powerplant than the 194bhp, four-cylinder 2.2-litre diesel found in the current model. Don’t be surprised if the range also includes a hybrid model.

It’s also likely that the 2018 model will not only benefit from more interior space, but there will also be a noticeable shift upwards in both quality and tech.
