Scots dealer is BMW UK No1 21 | 03 | 2018
INNOVATIVE SCOTTISH CAR dealership group Peter Vardy has fought off fierce competition to win the title of Dealer of the Year at the BMW UK Awards. (Related: New Mini dealership for Scotland)
Also nominated for an award in the Aftersales Performance and Used Car Performance categories, the Peter Vardy BMW dealership in Edinburgh added the award for BMW Series 7 Dealer of the Year to its haul.

“The team in Edinburgh has worked extremely hard over many years to earn this award and I'm very proud of them for making this happen. We will be celebrating shortly with a Dealer of the Year party.”
The award was determined by a variety of measures, with the Peter Vardy BMW dealership scoring highly on New Car Sales Targets, achieving an 8% rise, totalling 125% of target in the year to date.
It also achieved continued improvement in their customer service scores across both sales and service, achieving scores in the upper quartile as well as being number one for used cars in the country.
So far, 2018 has reflected a solid performance for the Scottish automotive group, which was also highly commended for Sales Team of the Year at the AM Awards in February, after winning this award on two occasions previously, as well as being highly commended by judges for Best Dealership.
"It’s always a great night at the BMW UK Awards,” group chief executive Peter Vardy said. “This is a fantastic tribute to the BMW team. To be named the best BMW retailer in the whole of the country, and to be competing on the global stage is a great achievement.”
The award was collected by managing partner Guy Watson, franchise director Johnny Kildare, and group CEO, Peter Vardy (main picture).
But the dealership won’t be resting on any laurels, having also been nominated for Excellence in Sales 2017 at the forthcoming BMW Global Awards.
The Peter Vardy Group operates six Vauxhall dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay (Fife).
In addition, it operates five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, BMW and Mini vehicles. It also has two of Scotland’s largest indoor used car showrooms, CarStore at Glasgow and Dundee.
