Rallying returns to Knockhillposted in KNOCK20 | 12 | 2010

TOP CLASS rallying will return to Knockhill early next year. Scotland's national motorsport centre will host the Grant Construction Knockhill Stages Rally on Sunday, January 9.

Organised by the Border Ecosse Car Club, the event will be run over eight special stages covering 30 miles of action. The field will include six classes from diminutive 1400cc cars, four-wheel-drive supercars, through to historics and classics.

"We are delighted to be working with such a well known and respected club as the Border Ecosse Car Club," Knockhill events director, Stuart Gray, said. "The Grant Construction stages will provide a real challenge for the competitor and spectacle for the spectators.

"With the length of stages and a 30-second gap between cars, there will be rally action everywhere you look.  It's been a while since we had rallying and I know the rally fans love the single venue format as they can see all the cars, all the action, all the time."

The first car is due off at 8.30am with action all the way through to 4pm.  Adult admission is £8, concessions £4 and under 12's free of charge.
