Franchitti sets up Indy shoot-outposted in INDY20 | 09 | 2010

BATHGATE'S DARIO Franchitti heads into the season finale at Homestead in Florida in just under two weeks knowing he has to win to clinch his third IndyCar Championship.

The 37-year-old Scot closed the gap on title leader, Aussie Will Power, to just 12 points after finishing second in the penultimate race at Motegi in Japan.

"Yeh, we're all set for another real nailbiter at Homestead," Franchitti, whose Target Ganassi car finished 4.5746secs behind the Penske of winner, Brazilian Helio Castroneves. "I closed the gap a bit more on Will, but he managed to finish right behind me in third, so it's everything to play for when we go to Homestead.

"I know the track suits me and the team, so we'll be doing everything we can to make sure we win the chmapionship just like we did 12 months ago."
