Hyundai thinks 'outside the box' 17 | 09 | 2010

HYUNDAI WILL unveil two important new models at this year’s Paris Motor Show later this month, and the first if the company's new B-segment MPV, the ix20. Boasting what Hyundai labels its 'fluidic sculpture’ design language which helps differentiate it from the boxy ‘minivan’ image typically associated with the segment, the ix20 will go on sale across the Scottish dealership network from mid-November.

Expected to appeal to young families, the ix20 — where do they get these names from? — Hyundai states the newcomer has "class-leading fuel economy and low CO2 emissions". It will also benefit from the company's groundbreaking Five Year Triple Care warranty.

In addition to the ix20, Hyundai will also lift the wraps from its facelifted version of the i10 city car which features comprehensive visual and mechanical improvements, including a new 1.0-litre engine with CO2 emissions of just 99gkm.  The new version of the i10 goes on sale early next year.
