New Sportage starts at £16,645 21 | 09 | 2010

WITH DEMAND across Kia's Scottish dealership network showing significant demand for its all-new Sportage, prospective buyers will be interested in the prices for the car which have just been revealed.

The 16 models — which go on sale on November 1 — consist of three trim grades – badged 1, 2 and 3 in line with the rest of the Kia range, with all-wheel-drive (AWD) versions at the mid and high grade level given the familiar KX preface.

Prices start at £16,645 for the brand new highly efficient, entry-level 1.6-litre direct-injection petrol unit with the base 1.7 litre turbodiesel unit starting at £18,145. Following the usual trim levels, ‘2’ starts at £20,020 and ‘3’ starts at £21,595.

If you need an all-wheel-drive version, prices start at £20,800 for the 2.0 and rise to £26,170 for the top of the range 2.0 CRDi KX-3 Sat Nav AWD Automatic.

Flagship models come with a fully-integrated satnav system, featuring a 7in full-map colour touchscreen integrated seamlessly into the central dash console providing access to a large selection of UK and European maps and Points-of-Interest.

Metallic or mica paint is still controversially rated as an 'option, and will set you back another 435 quid. That said, all models are exceptionally well-equipped, as customers have come to expect and, as with every new Kia, an industry pioneering seven-year warranty comes as standard.
