    VOLVO HAS confirmed it is to add R-Design models to its new S60 saloon and V60 estate ranges to help its Scottish dealership network capitalise on the country's interest in sportier driving and styling. Across the whole of the UK, R-Design derivatives account for 25% of Volvo UK's total sales.

    The new sportier models will feature a specially developed chassis, incorporating a strut brace, shorter and stiffer springs, different rear dampers and stiffer bushes to ensure the driving experience matches the car's sporting appearance. The R-Design derivatives, available across the engine range, 

    Externally, the cars have a redesigned front valance, a distinctive diffuser houses twin exhaust tailpipes, and unique five-spoke 18-inch Diamond cut wheels.

    Front occupants benefit from sports seats, while special leather/textile upholstery is available trimmed in off-black and ceramic light, or in an all-black variant, both with contrasting stitching. There's also an R-Design steering wheel, gear selector, sports pedals and floor-mats.
