Border Cars' 25 years with Mazda 05 | 04 | 2011

SCOTS MAZDA dealership, Border Cars Mazda, which operates showrooms in both Dumfries and Carlisle, is celebrating two anniversaries. The company has held the Mazda franchise in Carlisle for 20 years, and 25 years in Dumfries.

The milestone was marked by senior Mazda UK executives who visited the showrooms. David Wilson-Green, Mazda UK national sales manager presented each of the dealerships with commemorative plaques.

The award coincides with the opening of a new third site operating under the Border Cars Mazda name, a new showroom on the Lillyhall Industrial Estate in Workington.

"We are delighted to receive this award on behalf of the dealerships," Mike Fusco, dealer principal at Border Cars Mazda Dumfries, said. "Throughout the many years we've held the Mazda franchise, we have seen the marque grow into one of the UK's most innovative and successful car brands.

"We are looking forward to many more years serving our various local communities as a Mazda dealer and hope to be celebrating similar anniversaries at our new Workington dealership in many years time." And Border Cars' success was praised by Wilson-Green.

"Members of staff at both the Dumfries and Carlisle dealerships have been fantastic over the years and have offered a consistently high level of service to their customers across the region," he said. "Border Cars really is a great asset to Mazda."

Mazda UK business manager Philip Eastwood also congratulated the teams on their anniversaries, adding: "These plaques are in recognition of the hard work and dedication shown by Border Cars Mazda for more than two decades. Their loyalty and commitment is much appreciated by Mazda and I wish them every success in the future."
