EDINBURGH MARATHON runners will find themselves staring at the rear-end of a Nissan Navara for 26 miles after local dealer Alex F Noble committed to back the Edinburgh Marathon Festival as the official car partner.

The dealership, at Straiton near Edinburgh, is supplying nine vehicles for the festival — which comprises a full marathon, half marathon, relay, 10k, 5k and Junior Races — over the weekend of May 2/22.

These are two flatbed Navaras which are used as lead clock cars, two Micras, which are used as clock cars for the junior event, three vans for transporting equipment over the race weekend and two ‘run around’ cars for getting race crew around the city.

“We’re again delighted to be supplying vehicles to such a high profile event as the Edinburgh Marathon Festival," David Noble, dealer principal at Alex F Noble Nissan said.

"With over 20,000 runners over the marathon weekend, plus the many thousands of people who will be lining the route to cheer them on, this is a huge event for the capital and we’re very happy to be involved.”
