BMW unveils Olympic editions 12 | 07 | 2011
BMW, OFFICIAL CAR supplier to the London Olympics, has unveiled special edition versions of its BMW 1 and 3-series models to celebrate the Games. The new ‘Performance Edition’ models are available in a choice of four colours; Alpine White, Titanium Silver, Bluewater and Black Sapphire.
Externally the cars are identifiable by their high-gloss Shadowline trim, dark rear lights, 18 alloys and London 2012 badges. Inside the cars get an M Sport steering wheel and gearlever, plus sports seats with Royal Blue stitching. The cars are also fitted with M Sport suspension.
The Performance Edition packs are available on the 116i, 116d and 118d three and five-door models, with prices starting from £19,530 – a £1500 premium over the entry-level ES version.
For the BMW 3-series Performance Edition, prices start from £23,195, a premium of £500 over the ES saloon.
