Green Motion opens in Scotland 19 | 07 | 2011

    GREEN MOTION, the low CO2 car and van rental company, has opened its first branch in Scotland. The company — whose franchise was purchased by husband and wife team, James and Lynn Anderson — will be based at Edinburgh International Airport.

    Green Motion Edinburgh Airport offers low cost low CO2 vehicle hire with cars and vans from motor manufacturers including Fiat — featuring the new 500 Twin Air (the lowest emission petrol car in the World), Volkswagen — Blue Motion range, eight-seater’s and automatics from Hyundai’s latest range as well as many more.  

    The location is one of the fastest to be turned around by Green Motion with the site opening in less than five weeks from James and Lynn expressing their wish to purchase the franchise.

    “This is a very important and strategic move for Green Motion as opening at Edinburgh Airport is key to us providing our customers with true national coverage throughout the United Kingdom,” Richard Lowden (pictured), the founder and managing director of Green Motion said.

    Green Motion Edinburgh Airport, located within two minutes of the terminal, has provided a free shuttle service which takes customers from Stand 10 (at Edinburgh Airport) directly to the Green Motion location at Secure Airparks. The shuttle bus service runs every 5-10 minutes 24 hours a day.

    Green Motion provides car hire throughout the United Kingdom including airport destinations such as: Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol, East Midlands, Luton, Exeter, Leeds/Bradford and Southampton and downtown locations including: Leicester, Coventry, South London/Croydon, Oxford, Newbury and London.
