LIKE THE LOOK of this stunning Beetle Black Turbo Launch Edition? Pity, because the special edition is only available in the US through VWs online Vehicle Pre-Order (VPO) programme.

Only 600 models of the car — all based on the standard 197bhp 2.0-litre TSI, and which include Bluetooth, iPod connectivity and sports seats, plus beefed-up brakes, calipers painted red,18in alloys and a rear spoiler — will reach American dealers.

The Beetle Black Turbo Launch Edition starts at $24,950 (£15,200).
