    SCOTLAND'S MOST INNOVATING car dealership group, Peter Vardy, has opened a new £6 million state-of-the-art Porsche Centre in Aberdeen (read our roadtest of Porsche Macan S).

    Based on the city's Wellington Road, the new Porsche Centre not only displays the curent range of new models, but also showcases some of the greatest sports cars in the world.

    Inside the Centre you will find 25 stunning Porsches, along with a selection of Peter Vardy’s personal collection of classics, including a 1966 911S and 1957 356A.

    Potential buyers are able to fully customise their new Porsche while relaxing in the stylish customer lounge, complete with full internet access, privacy booths and a bespoke customer bar area with La Spaziale Barista coffee machine.

    The Centre also includes new cutting-edge servicing facilities — boasting 100% more capacity — which allows Porsche owners to make the most of the unique Direct Dialogue Bays. This allows owners to watch the work being carried out on their cars by the Porsche trained technicians, while the cutting-edge workshop.

    There's also a children only area where kids can enjoy a custom-built driving simulator of the iconic Porsche 911 with PS4 driving games and removable tyre challenge.

    “This is a stunning space which reflects the hard work and passion of the architects, builders, and the Peter Vardy team," Peter Vardy, CEO of the progressively expansive group, explained.

    "We couldn’t find a dealership good enough for this brand, so we built our own. I only hope it would make Ferry Porsche proud.”

    The £6 million project has created a number of new jobs in the area, both short and long term, with additional sales, aftersales and support staff to manage the prestige dealership.

    This is one of four major build projects the Vardy business has brought to the Aberdeen area. In addition to the new Porsche Centre, a brand new Jaguar Land Rover dealership is due in late 2016, while the company has also recently completed a new Vauxhall showroom on Lang Stracht, situated next to the newly built factory and showroom for the social enterprise business GlenCraft.

    Over the next 18 months, Peter Vardy will have invested more £30million in build projects and new dealerships, creating more than 150 long term jobs and over 500 short term jobs.

    The business is the fastest growing motor retail group in Scotland employing more than 765 people, and its continued expansion promises to be at the forefront of Scotland’s economic growth.

    The Peter Vardy Group currently operates six Vauxhall volume dealerships in Aberdeen, Perth, Kirkcaldy, Edinburgh, Motherwell and Dalgety Bay. In addition, it also has five prestige dealerships selling Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, BMW and Mini.

    Finally, it also operates Scotland’s biggest indoor used car showroom, CarStore, at Hillington, Glasgow, with a new CarStore planned for opening next year in Dundee.
