Tesla Model S gets facelift 13 | 04 | 2016

TESLA HAS GIVEN its Model S a facelift. The all-electric five-door now includes a slimmer black section in the nose, plus restyled headlights. The result is a face which is more closely aligned with that of the Model X.

The Model S has also inherited the air filtration system of the Model X, which Tesla says is 100 times more effective than other premium systems.

Inside the cabin, buyers can now choose from a choice of two new decor choices, Figured Ash Wood and Dark Ash Wood.

Not surprisingly, the electric drivetrain options in the Model S remain unaltered, though the car's standard charger has been upgraded from 40 amps to 48 amps: this means faster charging when connected to higher amperage charging sources.

The facelifted Model S range — available to order in Scotland from today — starts at £58,300 for the 70D spec is £58,300. That figures falls by £4500 when you factor in the UK government green car grant.
