New Dacia Sandero on sale at £5995 07 | 12 | 2016

    THE LATEST, REFRESHED Dacia Sandero has gone on-sale at Scottish dealerships with prices starting at £5995, making it the cheapest entry-level new car in the UK.

    For that money, you get a new Sandero with a restyled front bumper, a new, more prominent front grille, and a new headlight clusters with LED day running lights.

    At the rear of the Sandero, there’s also new taillights, while inside the cabin the new model gets different materials and more practical storage areas.

    Dacia has applied all these improvements across the range,  including the more rugged Sandero Stepway and estate-bodied Logan MCV. These models are priced from £8795 and £6995 respectively.

    The new range now also includes a 74bhp 1.0-litre three-cylinder engine, which will be the most fuel efficient and environmentally friendly engine on offer. Also retained in the line-up is the current 89bhp turbocharged three-cylinder engine, which has the option of an automatic gearbox.

    As previously, three trim levels — Access, Ambiance and Lauréate — are offered. While the Sandero and Logan MCV can be specced in all three, where the Sandero Stepway comes in just Ambiance or Lauréate.

    The entry-level Access gets Hill Start Assist, Emergency Brake Assist, traction control, and electronic stability control as standard.

    Next-up, the Ambiance, adds remote locking, AUX and USB ports, a DAB radio with with Bluetooth, electric front windows, and air conditioning. There’s also a optional Height Adjustment Pack can be specced for £50 and brings adjustability to the driver’s seat, steering wheel and front seatbelt height.

    The range-topping Lauréate adds rear parking sensors and a satellite navigation system housed within a 7-inch touchscreen. There’s also the option of a reversing camera.
