VW Polo Match goes tech-heavy  20 | 12 | 2016

VOLKSWAGEN HAS LAUNCHED a run-out version of its sixth generation Polo hatchback, ahead of the all-new five-door 2017 model. Available at Scottish dealerships and priced from £13,315, the Polo Match comes loaded with top-spec infotainment and more driver assist features as standard.

Fitted with VW’s top-spec Car-Net App-Connect infotainment as standard, the system brings Apple Carplay, Android Auto and Mirrorlink smartphone connectivity to the Polo Match.

There’s also increased app compatibility that includes Spotify and Skype, as well as VW’s own Call & Remind app, which allows the driver to make a to-do list while stationary in the car, plus Cam Connect, which can link to a GoPro Hero4 camera and display its image on the screen.

Other goodies include rear parking sensors, heated door mirrors with electric folding mechanisms, cruise control, air conditioning, automatic wipers, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror and follow-me-home headlights.

Available as either a three- or five-door hatchback, the Polo Match is fitted with 15in alloys and comes with the choice of three engines producing between 59bhp and 89bhp.

Buyers can choose between two petrols — a 1.0-litre three-cylinder and 1.2 turbocharged four-cylinder — plus one 1.4-litre turbocharged diesel. While the 1.2 petrol is available with either a manual or DSG automatic gearbox, the rest get only the annual ‘box.
