Fiat 124 Spider to cost £19,545 07 | 06 | 2016

FIAT’S NEW SPORTY two-seater, the 124 Spider — which shares its platform with the Mazda MX-5 — will start at £19,545 when it goes on-sale in Scotland later this year. That’s around £1100 more than its Mazda MX-5 counterpart.

The Fiat will be available with a choice of three trim levels, Classica, Lusso and Lusso Plus, and all will come with air-conditioning, keyless start, cruise control, an infotainment system with USB and Bluetooth connectivity, and 16in alloys as standard.

The range-topping Lusso Plus, at £23,295, adds automatic LED headlights and a BOSE stereo system.

The Fiat 124 Spider will be available with one engine, a 1.4-litre turbocharged MultiAir petrol — lifted from the 500 Abarth — delivering 138bhp and 240Nm of torque. All UK models will be fitted with a six-speed manual transmission.
