Mini launches 74mpg One D Clubman 14 | 03 | 2016

MINI HAS LAUNCHED its cheapest and most frugal version of its Clubman estate. The new entry-level One diesel version of the Clubman goes on-sale now in Scottish dealers with prices starting at £21,375, first deliveries are expected in April.

Powered by a 114bhp, 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbodiesel engine, the new Clubman One will hit 62mph from standstill in 10.4secs, top out at 119mph, and return 74.3mpg at the pumps when mated to the standard six-speed manual gearbox (72.4mpg for the auto). It also emits 99g/km CO2.

Targeted fairly and squarely at company car drivers, the figures mean they'll benefit from a business-in-kind rate of just over 17%, 4% less than the previous model and meaning drivers will save money on tax. Monthly payments are attractive too, staring at just £179 per month.

And despite being the entry model, the Clubman One is well specced. DAB, Bluetooth, Cruise control, Mini Connected and Navigation are all standard, as is a leather multi-function steering wheel, aircon, auto lights and wipers, plus 16in alloys.
