2017 Ford Fiesta gets reveal date 21 | 11 | 2016

FORD WILL GIVE its next-generation Fiesta its global unveiling on November 29. The new model will be revealed at Ford's Go Further event in Cologne, Germany.

“The new Fiesta will be our best expression of Ford – lovable, fun, sporty to drive and with an unmatched personality true to the spirit of the iconic small car that has delighted generations of customers for the past 40 years,” Jim Farley, Ford of Europe executive vice president and president, said.

Set to be available in both three- and five-door versions, the next Fiesta will be larger than the model it replaces. It’s also understood that its styling will will also be completely different, adopting some of the design cues from the facelifted Focus.

As for engines? It’s expected the 2017 Fiesta will include a range of small-capacity turbocharged three and four-cylinder powerplants. The range-topping Fiesta ST will retain a boosted 1.6-litre petrol.

Across the range, the engines will all deliver an increase in power, alongside a decrease in emissions.

Expect the Fiesta to all move slightly more upmarket and be fitted with a more premium cabin.

Also on November 29, Ford will announce Ford Smart Mobility, fuel-saving technology and commercial vehicle news.
