McLaren 570S Design Editions 23 | 11 | 2016

McLAREN HAS INTRODUCED a choice of five Design Edition versions to its 570S (Black Bull Ecurie Ecossse McLaren 570S GT4). Picked by McLaren’s own designers to the Sports Series model, the Design Editions add colour combinations and trim packages.

The first (pictured) adds a Vermillion Red paint job, five-spoke alloy wheels, a stealth exhaust and red brake calipers to the exterior. Inside the cabin, there’s black Alcantara and red Nappa leather upholstery with contrasting grey stitching, a colour co-ordinated steering wheel and a McLaren branded leather sill.

The other four Design Editions come in Onyx Black, Storm Grey, Ventura Orange and Silica White; each offers their own colour and trim combinations.

The rest of the car remains the same as the ’standard’ 570S, meaning power from the 562bhp turbocharged 3.8-litre V8 engine sent to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Performance also remains unchanged, with a top speed of 204mph and 0-62mph in 3.2secs.

There’s an £8500 price premium for the Design Edition, on top of the £151,750 standard price; the car is available to order now from McLaren Glasgow. According to McLaren, the ‘package’ price is cheaper than adding the new features from the options list.
