Noble welcome for 'Mighty Quin' 03 | 10 | 2016

GB PARALYMPIC SWIMMING medalist, Scott Quin, dropped in on sponsors, Midlothian based Alex F Noble & Son Nissan to say thanks and to show off his silver medal won in Rio.

Quin (26), who has Crouzon syndrome, was edged into silver medal position by the tiniest of margins by fellow Brit, Aaron Moores in a thrilling SB14 100m breaststroke final.

Just three hundredths of a second separated the two swimmers, however Quin clocked up both a Paralympic record as well as a personal best time of 1:06.65 in the qualifying heat earlier in the day.

Alex F Noble & Son Nissan had previously presented the swimmer with a Nissan Pulsar I.5DCI N-CONNECTA car on an initial 12-month sponsorship to help his mum, Eileen take Quin from his home in Loanhead in Midlothian to the Royal Commonwealth Pool in Edinburgh for 10 training sessions, as well as his physio and nutritionist appointments.

Alex F Noble & Son Nissan sales manager, Gordon Campbell, welcomed Scott back to the dealership.

“Those who watched Scott’s final would have been on the edge of their seats as it was such a close run thing,” Campbell said. “Scott did incredibly well and is obviously a huge talent.

“We’re delighted the Pulsar is making a big difference to his rigorous weekly routine which is clearly producing results. All the team at Alex F Noble & Son offer him our heartiest congratulations on his Rio success and best wishes for the future”.

Although not long back home from Rio, Quin is already training hard for his next big challenge; the SB14 100m breaststroke event at the Para World championships in Mexico City next year.

"It was great to know I had the support of the team at Alex F Noble & Son while I was out in Rio,” he said. “Now that I'm back home focusing on training again, travelling in the Pulsar makes all the difference to my daily regime”.
