Fiat Fullback Cross gets attitude 16 | 03 | 2017

FIAT HAS LIFTED the wraps from a new style-oriented Cross version of its Fullback pick-up. The newcomer gets sporty tweaks and extra kit, and will go on-sale at Scottish dealerships in the summer, with prices expected around £22,000 (ex VAT). (Related: 70 Years of Ferrari)

Fiat says the new Fullback Cross will "further broaden the appeal of the Fullback with lifestyle users”, and there’s no doubting it certainly looks the part … if you’re in to pick-up trucks. And it’s only available in double-cab form.

Externally, the Cross gets a redesigned grille with matt black colouring and a satin silver skid plate. The theme continues with the mirrors, door handles and a new rear sport bar that sits over the load bay also being black. There’s also larger side steps, and a black load bay cover.

It also comes with a host of kit as standard, including trailer stability assist, lane departure warning, cruise control, seven airbags, heated leather upholstery (with an electric driver's seat), bi-xenon headlamps with LED running lights, sat-nav, dual-zone climate control and a rear-view camera.

The Fullback Cross is only available with Fiat’s 177bhp 2.4-litre diesel engine, tough buyers do get the choice of a six-speed manual or five-speed automatic gearbox. Four-mode selectable all-wheel drive, with an electronically-controlled clutch, is also standard.
