Vardy unveils new Porsche 911 15 | 12 | 2015

PORSCHE CENTRE ABERDEEN unveiled the new 911 range to more than 250 discerning drivers. The new £6 million centre, operated by Scotland's most innovative group, Peter Vardy, opened in October.

In addition to the new 911 — which encompasses new turbocharged engines, updated Porsche touchscreen infotainment system and adaptive cruise control — guests enjoyed a number of other attractions.

Guests were treated to exclusive tours of the 911 Carrera, 911 Carrera S, 911 Cabriolet and 919 Hybrid, and were able to test their performance car knowledge with a Porsche-themed quiz with Porsche prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place.

The event also marked the Porsche Centre Aberdeen's move to its current location in Wellington Road, where it now offers clients a 22-car showroom, a 10-bay workshop and an undercover area to showcase pre-owned Porsches.

The entire Porsche sales team joined in the evening's entertainment and continue to be available to introduce guests to the entire Porsche range, including Boxster, Cayman, Panamera and Cayenne as well as the 2016 911.

A commemorative plaque was unveiled for the new Centre after Peter Vardy, chief executive of the fast-growing motor group, and Chris Craft, managing director of Porsche Cars Great Britain Ltd, spoke to the audience.

"The event was a great success," Peter Vardy (pictured), CEO, said, "and we look forward to celebrating the launch of many more fantastic cars at the Porsche Centre Aberdeen in the future."

The event was also praised by Tom Hall, centre principal at Porsche Centre Aberdeen.

"It was a tremendous evening," he said, "with the staff and guests alike sharing the enthusiasm about the special nature of Porsche, the pinnacle of precision engineering."
